Why Mui Ne Is One of the Best Places to Learn Kitesurfing in 2025–2026
By Liz, C2SKY Kite & Wingfoil School – Mui Ne, Vietnam
The Wind Never Takes a Day Off
Mui Ne is known all over Asia for one thing: steady wind. From October until April, we get strong, clean wind almost every day. It starts soft in the morning around 10 am 15 knots, gets stronger 20 knots after lunch around 13:00, and stays until sunset.
For beginners, that means you can learn fast, no waiting around, no guessing. You can start small and build up day by day.
The beach is wide, sandy, and safe. No rocks, no sharp corals. The wind comes side-onshore, which is exactly what you want when you’re learning. If something goes wrong, you drift back to the beach, not out to sea. That’s one of the big reasons why Mui Ne has become Vietnam’s kitesurfing capital.
Warm Water, Local Smiles, and Easy Living
Here, you don’t need a wetsuit the water stays warm even in winter. You can ride in shorts and a rash guard or a shorty if you like, then walk a few steps and grab a coffee at our C2SKY Beach Café.
Everything happens on the same stretch of sand: lessons, rentals, chill ouut spots, dogs playing, people talking. It’s an easy rhythm, the kind that makes learning feel fun, not stressful.
Mui Ne is also a friendly town. After the wind drops, you’ll find small restaurants, seafood stalls, and sunsets that make everyone stop for a minute. It’s simple, clean, and good.
Learning With the Right Team
At C2SKY, we’ve been here for over 15 years. Our instructors are IKO-certified, which means we follow international safety standards and give every student radio coaching. You always have someone talking to you from the beach, helping you make small adjustments that make big progress.
We use top gear from Ozone and Gaastra, and we change kite sizes depending on the wind. You don’t have to worry about anything just show up, and we handle the rest.
Why Now Is a Good Time to Start
Travel is back, and Mui Ne is growing fast again. More cafés, better roads, new flight routes from Ho Chi Minh City everything’s becoming easier.
If you’ve always wanted to learn kitesurfing or wingfoiling, 2025–2026 is a great time. Prices are fair, the beaches are open, and there’s wind almost every day. It’s the right mix of comfort and adventure.
